I guess it’s weird, but I love to put money in those Salvation Army kettles. The metal ones were much better. Nothing like the clank of cold, hard cash! I like to support the Salvation Army because unlike other help organizations where the top dogs rake in 100,000K++++ salaries a year and do very little for them, the SA head honchos have reasonable salaries…. So most of your money actually goes to those in need. Another favorite charity of mine is supporting the Humane Society of Rogers (Arkansas). You can’t donate to the big guys because your money will never be seen in your local shelter. Your local shelters are constantly in need of food, cleaning supplies, dog leashes, toys and love, lots of love. If you are able, your four-footed friends would love you to donate your time to care for them while they await their forever home. You never know, you could find a new best friend. Remember those in need this holiday season. Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Hanukkah. More good tidings to follow.
